  1. The 15th of August is a great pattern day in Ballybunion.
    All the boys and girls in the place go there on that day.
    Some years ago they used to have a dance on the Castle-Green.
    An old man named O'Brian used be playing music there.
    All the boys and girls used to dance jigs and reels and all Irish dances.
    There used to be hawkers there with tents selling apples, oranges and sea-grasses.
    People used to go around to see all the beautiful places such as: - the Caves, the Nine daughters Hole and along by the cliff.
    There were no buses or motors at that time but the people used to go in side cars and common-cars but
