  1. St. Stephen's day occurs on the 26th December.
    On that day the boys go around with the wren.
    This is the way they do it.
    A couple of days before, the boys that are to go with the wren meet, and they appoint a captain, then they arrange the kind of clothes they will put on, and the music they will have.
    On St. Stephen's day they meet again, and go from house to house.
    They wear dresses and hats of every colour, they wear brooches and feathers on their hats.
    The captain is very gaily dressed.
    The musical instruments they have are fiddles, melodions and drums.
