  1. For the past years many travellers visited our house.
    Three or four years ago an old man whose name was Johnny Fitzgerald was accustomed to visit our district.
    He used to come at least three times a year.
    Every house he used go into he would ask for a bottle.
    Then in return he would give pins, needles, hair-pins and other useful little things.
    If there was a little child in a cradle when he would come into a house he would say "Is it a doll or a hurley I will bring it".
    Then when you would tell him he would know whether it would be boy or girl that would be there.
    He only ate two meals a day breakfast and supper.
