    ones. About half way up holes were left in the weaving. Some times a nice pattern was worked in this way, less rods were used and the cleeve was lighter. In this way the sides were formed. A square was woven for the bottom and it was attached to the rest of the cleeve by rod hinges. Hangers or errishes of rods were also put on the cleeves, and by them they were suspended from the straddle which was worn on the donkey's bank.
