school got a slice of bread for their dinner. The people died so quickly that often the grave was dug just where they died and several corpses were buried in the same grave. A man is supposed to have been buried in a garden in Larganboy during this period. A road was made around by Mannin Lake as Relief Work during the famine. It was mostly women that worked at the making of the road. A song was made about the making of that road but no one can remember the words of it now.
