  1. I live in the village of Corrfhíadhaine. It got this name because the land is rough and rocky. There are ten fields in our farm, six tillage fields and four pasture fields this year. They are small fields, none of them being more than an acre.
    Their names are as follows - Ranach, Porsneachta, Culidubh, Saedán, Garraí Phádraig, Askey, Gáirdín,Cnocan Bán, Stang. Ranach got its name because of the ferns that were growing along the fence. Culidubh got its name because there was a little wood growing in it once. Garraí Phádraig got its name because it once beloinged to my grandfather's brother who was named Paddy. Cnocan Bán got its name because it is a little hill
