    the seagull and magpie and cuckoo. When the rain is coming the seagulls fly inward towards the land. They also fly high and their cry is tobe heard far and near. The weather can be judged by the cuckoo. If she is seen on a leafless tree that is a bad sign of the weather.
    The people say the robin has a red breast because when our Lord was nailed on the cross, the little robin came round and tried to draw the nails out of His Hands and Feet. Then a drop of blood fell on its breast and every every robin after that has a red breast. The following information was got from Philip Hirrell Meenolin.
