    they had to be closed down.
    The town fair is held in a field known as the cow Park. Toll is paid on cattle that are sold. The toll is paid to Tommy Morrison. Twopence is paid on each animal sold.
    When any animal is sold luck money or luck's penny as it is called is given. The dearer the animal is, the bigger luck's penny is given. When (any) a man sells a horse, a cow, a pig or an ass he expects a luck's penny of about ten shillings on a horse or a cow. From sixpence to half a crown on a pig and about ten shillings on an ass.
