Stories are told of how in their ignorance the people dug holes in the ground and poured in the casks of rum and how they did not know what watches were when taken to their smartest man he described them as something that would tell on them so they smashed all the watches.
    The people of Glenagivney resent any allusion to the wrecking of the Mary Snow
