  1. Story 12

There is a rock in my uncle's land, and some of the old people believe that fairies live in it.

    Story 12 February 1938
Told by Beth McKeague, Culdaff. She is only 13 years of age, but her uncle, who is a farmer, told he the story.
There is a rock in my uncle's land, and some of the old people believe that fairies live in it, because one day, a boy and a girl were sliding down the rock, and when the boy neared the bottom he hurt his leg. The girl took him home, but he died before he reached home. So since then the people believe that the fairies live under the rock.
