   She being beneath the seat.

   Three thousand pounds he would lay down.
   With twenty heights of land,
   To any knight on Irish soil,
   That would slay the Long Black Hand.

   This wicked elf was left at ease. For six long years and more,
   'Till Lynches friends a visit paid, To him in Ballymore.

   And Annal says there all so calm
   A lord and valiant knight,
   Who would to God he'd have revenge
   On Cilíns church-yard bright.

   This young O Eidhin from Inchicore,
   And so the youth was called And Annal says he scarcely was,
   Twenty Summer's old.
