“The night i rode with Sarsfield”
(continued from previous page)them from his father who is about sixty-five years of age. The song was composed by Mr. Callanan Craughwell, Co. Galway. He composed the song about a soldier who was with Sarsfield when he left Limerick to blow up the siege train. He wrote it as if he himself was the soldier.
