    crops. The owner of the land where the fort is situated is Thomas Tarpy. So many years ago Thomas Kerse and Thomas Menihan were passing by this fort about one o clock and they heard singing and dancing and they saw three girls standing outside the fort. They were dressed in white and when they saw them coming they disappeared. Long ago the danes were hiding in this fort. These forts were built the time of the war for safety.
