ten miles in the sea, and there were some men on the deck, and they saw a Mermaid swimming in the sea, and she swam round the ship three times, and then she disappeared. Some said to turn back; but more said to go ahead. Then they went on, and they were not far gone, when the ship started to sink, and before any help came they were all drowned.
