    A man was drawing home hay one day from a meadow.

    (continued from previous page)

    He was bare-footed.
    He ran across the road and passed the horse and car that the man had.
    He did not salute the man but just sat into the car near the man.
    The man saluted him but he did not answer him.
    Then the man did not ask him any more questions.
    When the man came to the gate of the meadow he jumped out of the car to open the gate.
    The boy jumped out of the car after him and offered him a paper of sweets but he would not take them.
    When he did not do this the boy sat into the car again and went to the meadow.
    When he came to the meadow he ran to the man that was filling the load of
