    The most common name in the district are Dalys. In former times (times) the houses were more numerous. There were twelve houses in it but the people emigrated to America and Australia. The names of the people who emigrated were Murphys, Burks, Finnegans, Geraghtys, Clarkes. The ruins of two houses are still to be seen. There is no wood or river in the district. The townland is not mentioned in any song or saying. There were Hollands in the district but as they had no family Mrs Holland gave the place to her nephew, whoses
