  1. The Leipreachan is known locally as the "grésaide Leipreachan" He is about two feet high and wears a green suit and red cap. He is supposed to live in 'raths' and 'lisses'.
His usual occupation is shoe-making and he is supposed to have a crock of gold hidden someplace under ground.
He was never known to be caught but he was seen very often.
He is looked upon as being very friendly to human beings but they were never known to help them.
They are supposed to take revenge on all those who interfere with them.
There is a hawthorn bush in Woodford called the "Meeting Bush" where the Leipreachans and fairies were supposed to meet on certain nights
