  1. Long ago the old people used to have a lot of prayers.
    The old people say this one when entering a chapel.
    "Outside the church I leave my sin and into the church I inter in"
    "God bless us all both great and small and convert those that hate us, and give us "mate" that we could ate, along with those small "pyates", was the prayer said before eating the dinner during the famine.
    When rising from bed people say :- " Now I rise from this bed of sleep to adore and labour for the salvation of my soul. May I arise on the Last Day glorious and immortal.
    "I adore thee Holy Cross which has been adorned by the tender and delicate hands of our Lord Jesus Christ and abuse his precious blood.
    I adore thee Holy Cross for the love of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
