  1. The evictions occored in the year 1886. There was a great battle in Saunder's Fort. When the soldiers came to evict the people the doors were barred and the lower windows were shuttered.
    Some of the men went upstairs and put down any ladders that were put up to the windows.
    They threw lime and gruel ion the soldiers.
    But at last the soldiers broke in and evicted the inmates. They put them to goal for trowing lime on the soldiers
