  1. A treasure is supposed to be hidden in Tumna near the river Shannon in the parish of Ardcardna in the County Roscommon.
    It is believed that it was placed there by the Danes in former times to be taken out at some later date.
    A man believed that the treasure was hidden there often made an attempt to find it but failed. William Morahan of Cleaheen, Cootehall, Co. Roscommon often made an effort
