    A Tragedy
    One morning in the year 1917 cousins of my mother were at breakfast one morning when a banging came to the door. There were six people at the table when the banging came to the door. There was a shop boy at the table, he opened the door, and as he did English soldiers rushed on him and killed him. The soldiers rushed into the breakfast-room and shot everyone at the table but one. The soldiers plundered the house but there was one who watched them. The wounded man got to his feet and staggered to a doctor. The doctor fixed his wound and said, "There is a bullet in your lung, but you will cough it up sometime."
