  1. In olden times there was a fort about a quarter of a mile from my house. It was enclosed by a big high wall and around it were many black thorn bushes. The people that lived long ago used to go there for safety when the place was a forest. They used to be chased by the wild beasts so that the forts were the only place where they had to save their lives.
    This name of this fort is Toberatavaran which is given down in history. Tober is the name of a well in Irish and tavaran means the bitter herb most probably dandelion.
    The well is about twenty yards from the fort. It is an excellent well for spring water
