- The children used to go to the bog specially to wash their feet with the bog water. The old people thought that this water would make the feed clean and strong. - There are two forges in this parish One in Kilvine and the other in Ballindine. The one in Kilvine belongs to Micahel Rafftery and the one in Ballindine belongs to Denis NilandThe latters and the formers fathers were blacksmiths also. Michael Rafftery makes horse shoes, ass shoes, scufflens, and ploughs.(continues on next page)
