Whins are good for a cold. One has to get the little green tops of them and boil and strain them.
The left stocking tied round the neck is good for a sore throat. A cloth dipped in very cold water, and wrung out, and tied round the neck is also good for a sore throat. Salt is another cure for a sore throat. One has to heat the salt, and put it into a stocking, and put it round the neck as hot as one can bare it, at night when going to bed. A garlic poultice put to the soles of the feet is good for sore throat.
Soap is good for a burn.
    Ginger is good for toothache.
