  1. My fathers farm is situated in the Townland of Drumgowna and in the Parish and Barony of Mohill.
Here are a list of the names of our fields, the whinny field, the light house field, Lookies field, Marys garden, Pat Morans land, Egans corner, The mares field, the spring field, the calves garden, the rye garden, the sheep field, the Lawn meadow, the big meadow, the big square, the high bank, the stubble field, the hollow bank, pull mór.
The whinny field is so called because there are a lot of whins growing there. The calves garden is so called because the young calves are fed there. The rye garden is so called because there used to be rye grown there. The mares field is so called because there used to be a mare fed there. Pull mór is so call it is a big hole in the river.
