  1. I live in the District of Eslin in the townland of Drumgowna and in the parish and Barony of Mohill
    There are 4 families living in it, and MLoughlin in the name most common
    There are 26 people living in it and 3 slated houses and one thatched.
    There are 2 old people over 70 living in it, they know no Irish and they are no good of story tellers.
    Their names are Mrs Reynolds and Mrs MLoughlin.
    It got its name from Drum a hill and gowna calves for in olden times there used to be a lot of calves feed there.
    There were more houses there in former times and they are now in ruins.
    There is 1 ruins in the townland which we call Motchers and people of it are dead.
    There are 2 fairy forts in it also and there is no song about it.
    The land of it is hilly and in the valley of the hills there are bogs but none of it is very good.
