    I know a little girl who has a nosy face.

    This is the composition for the week. Being locals and composers themselves the children wrote the following for a prize to be given at Christmas for the best three written to encourage milk drinking and the necessity for a hot beverage in school during at least the winter months. No pupil can pass in without holding up her bottle for examination.
    A Song
    I know a little girl who has a rosy face.
    And plenty of milk at home which she is always fond to taste.
    She comes to school each morning with the bottle in her hand,
    And her father is a farmer who works upon the land.
    Many a time she was very cold, because of the bottle she had to hold,
    Through rain and snow she had to go.
    And if she asked to stay at home,
    The answer was "no"
    If other girls would copy this.
    Not a day would they ever miss,
