    They got the woman safe down and were linking her out when a blaze caught the stairs and they could not get up to save the dog.
    The first was caused by someone letting a match fall on the straw in a house attached to the store. The straw went on fire then it was easy setting the store on fire because it was made of wood.

  2. There is an old ruin of an abbey in Cloonmorris graveyard. It was said that St. Morris and Saint Barry built this abbey. They also built another one in the County Roscommon known as Kilbarry church. The abbies are about 200 years old.
    The way the two saints used to cross the Shannon was step on a stone which was along the Shannon and it brought them across. The stone was for a long time lying on the banks of the Shannon until one day a couple were going
