- There is an old ruin of an abbey in Cloonmorris graveyard. It was said that St. Morris and Saint Barry built this abbey. They also built another one in the County Roscommon known as Kilbarry church. The abbies are about 200 years old.The way the two saints used to cross the Shannon was step on a stone which was along the Shannon and it brought them across.
