    Above all the working men
    In Ireland the Blacksmith works the best
    He is the only man who makes horses' shoes and therefore he should get a good rest.
    There are three forges in my parish.
    There is a three mile distance between each of them.

    The forge I know most about is the one in my own townland. Tommie Mc Loughlin is the blacksmith He owns the forge about ten years. It belonged to his step father James McGarry who closely resembled King Edward VII

    The forge is a thatched house and inside there are many things such as bellows anvil and a font for holding water also a fire.
