  1. there lived in ballina long ago a man who had a huge cow. There was no other cow in the town like her. One day the cow caught cold. The man sent for the vet. The vet said (after) "The best cure for the cow is ale". The man got ale and gave it to the cow, but it made no improvement on her.
    One day a woman came to the mans house. The man told her about the cow. She said "Let the cow be milked, and let the milk be made into butter. Then give the cow the butter to eat". The man did so and the cow got better
