    On the southern border of Ballina town lies the railway station.

    On the southern border of Ballina town lies the railway station. About 20 yards to the north of it there are white gates, and a road which leads to Knockleagh runs through them.
    Ten yards south-west of them lies a three cornered field, and in the middle there is a rock shaped like a chair.
    This chair is about 2 1/2 ft. high and 2 ft wide. the chair is called St Patrick's chair, and it got its name in this manner.
