  1. "About 80 years ago there was a priest named Fr. Melvin living in Carramore Backs Ballina. One night himself and his brother were going to the house of the Melvins in Cloontusk on a sick call.
    On their way home, they were attacked on the road by a turkey. They were a half hour trying to pass by. Then the priest put on his stole and prayed.
    He caught hold of the turkey and put it into a tree by the road-side. The tree is still to be seen there yet.
