  1. One night long ago a man was walking past Killala tower when he heard a voice saying "There is a pot of gold hidden under the ninety-ninth step of the tower." The man went home and got a shovel and a spade. He then went to the tower and began to count the steps. When he came to the right step he dug under it. He was not long digging when he got tired. He took a rest and began to dig again. The man was too busy digging to notice anything that was happening. A robber had appeared above him. The robber took out a knife, threw it, and killed the man. The man's body could not be found when
