  1. The first Landlord of Dartry was Luke White who originally belonged to a place called Kilkee near Rathfarnaham. He lived only quite a short time and was succeeded by his brother Sam. They were regarded as very good Landlords and there were never any evictions during their time.
    Luke White built Laureen house on the Drowes which was destroyed by a fire about two years ago. He sold it to Lord Massey the successor of Luke White. Massey sold it to Blackord
