  1. There is also a burial ground around the chapel in Kinlough. One Shanachie says that it is opened to prevent the Protestants from using the ground in the chapel yard as a cart way to and from a lime kiln which is now disused at the rear of the village.
    At that time Daniel O' Connell was a member of Parliment and also a lawyer. He was working hard for Catholics in and out of court and the parish priest of Kinlough wrote and asked him what would they do to prevent
