  1. The present ruined residence of Saintie George Johnston, Kinlough, Co. Leitrim belonged to the Connollys, tithe collectors for Lord Massey and agents for the Dickson's of Tawley, Castlegal, Co. Sligo.
    The Connollys were Catholics but were not very practical in their religious duties. They believed in the true Church but through wordly motives they disguised their religion.
