  1. There were numerous old shops throughout this district of which the remains are not to be seen of most of them at the present time. There was a grocer shop at Clintons Bush in the townland of Gurteendarragh Kinlough, Co. Leitrim. There was also another grocer shop and a "Sheeben shop" at Pat Mc Gowan bridge, Aughaderrard, Kinlough, Co. Leitrim. The shops were owned by James Dermot and his wife Mary Hernan. They sold everything except meal and flour and when
