  1. In every farm house in this district there is a churn. There are two kinds of churns a dash churn and a swing churn. The dash churn is nearly like a barrel in shape. It is about feet high with a lid on it. In the centre of the lid there is a round hole so that the handle of the dash has liberty to go through the lid. The dash is a stick about the length of a broom handle with two boards nailed on the end.
