  1. Long ago the people of the country had to go miles to towns because at that time there were not many towns only about three in every county and in every town there were only two grocer shops.
    The people used to go shoping every Wednesday for they used to say that it was a lucky day for travelling. They never used to buy any food on Sundays for it was said that any food that was bought on Sundays was unlucky. People who had grown up boy's and girls used to send them to grocer shops with eggs and they got groceries in exchange
