  1. The Local Forge
    There were two forges in the parish of Kinlough about fifty years ago. They were owned by William Pye and Francis Mac Gloin. The two forges were situated in the back street, Kinlough and their successes are living there still but they have lost the trade. At that time smith work was a very profitable way of living.
