  1. Rambling is still a custom in Dartry but its not abused now as in days gone by.
    The most comfortable house in district is chosen where the people are popular or lauky (laze). There must be a good fire and free speech. The ramblers gather together about 8 o'clock p.m. and begin to play cards at about 8:30. If the game is goos they don't quit until about 11:30. Twenty five is the game played and the stake is only a penny per man and sometimes only a 1/2 d
