  1. In this locality people say that the twelve days of Christmas forecast the weather of the year. If Christmas day comes stormy January will come a stormy month, and if St. Stephen's day comes good February will come a good month and so on. Also in this locality it is believed that if rivers rise on the last night of the old year prices on food stuffs will rise in the new year and if rivers lower on the last night of the old year prices of food stuffs will lower for the following year.
