- The road that I am living on is called the Lavagh road. In former time sit was the direct road from Carrrick-on-Shannon to Mohill. It is a very hilly road and all the people used to come on this road to Carrick-on-Shannon and Mohill. It is a rice road and when you climb the hills you can get good view of the surrounding country which is nearly all covered with grass and daises in the Summer. It was said it was the board of Works that made it. It is a very wide road and not many cars pass up or down it.(continues on next page)
