  1. Tinkers that travel about this locality most are the Lawrences the McDonaghs and Heaneys. The Heaney family is about this place the longest, all the rest are new comers. They make gallons and mend pots and pans. They are usually called tin smiths. The most interesting part of the tinkers life is that they have certain counties to themselves. Tinkers from Galway cannot stop or sell their wares in these surrounding counties, because our home tinkers would beat them out again to their own counties.
