  1. In this district there are very few old roads Crowhill was the main road between Mohill and Carrick on Shannon before the other main road was made.
    It was also a short way for the people to get to the village of Drumsna.
    There is an avenue leading up to Mount Cambel Covent and there are two wooden bridges on its course. I olden times the people used to cross the Shannon to the towland of Cloonteen by little boats. They used also to cross it by step stones as the Shannon is
