  1. A marriage took place in Drumsna R.C. Church. The groom was John Gill and the bride was Katie Moran. The marriage took place at 12 o clock and it was over at 8 p.m.
While they were looking for a best man the bridesmaid went home and did not come back so then they had no bridesmaid and they were in a hobble. At the end they got two officials. Then there was a large crowd of boys and girls men and women to cheer them away. The first thing the groom did was to give a "creel" of turf to the people that lived beside them.
