- Once upon a time there was a man who was a great violin player. One night he was coming home from a dance and on his way home he stood on this fort and started playing a tune. After he parted with his company he went astray and he walked away the whole night till coming on near morning and he found himself among a crowd of fairies. He was in a grand palace and this night there was a girl to be married and they were to bring her away with them. So they went and they brought the man with them. when they came to the house in which the girl was they went up on the top and were looking down through a hole. They put something down through the hole and this girl began to sneeze and none of them said God Bless us and the man who was with the fairies said to himself "Why didn't ye say God Bless us". The spell was broken and the fairies threw him down through the roof. This man was away for three years. His name was McJernam from Alch.
