    One night about 40 years ago a man named William Bourke of Ballymacredmond, Backs, Co. Mayo was playing cards in Mr. Cawley's house Knockmore, Backs, Co. Mayo.

    out of danger.
    Then he saw that it was a bull that was walking beside him. He put the sign of the cross between himself, and the bull. This bull was rooting clay that was going over his head. There was a stream at the end of the road which is about 100 yards from Mr. Scott's house. When he had passed this stream the bull disappeared, and he saw him no more.
