  1. I do not live on a farm but I have often watched the local farmers sewing the potatoes In the whole district of Ballycorus abot acres of potatoes are sold The farmer prepares the ground which has been left ploughed during the winter He sows them in drills which are opened with a plough
    Wooden ploughs have never been used in the district within living memory The spades used are not made locally but are bought in a shop It is like an ordinary spade something like this
