    About twenty years ago there was a little house in Creggan wood ...

    About twenty years ago there was a little house in Creggan wood about a quarter of a mile from our house. It was owned by Jack Armstrong and his wife and they are both dead.
    Every night about nine o clock a little woman came to the window & sat there on the window-sill for ten minutes. One very stormy night she came to the door and begged for shelter. Mrs. Armstrong said that they kept no lodgers.
    Then the little woman walked away, shook her head and said nothing. Later Mrs. Armstrong went upstairs and when she came down again the little woman was sitting in the corner.
    When Jack came in from raking she disappeared.
    The ruins of the old house are still in existence. It
